Question by Free: Single moms who date sex offenders...?

I'm learning more about the disappearance of 5 year old Neveah Buchanan.

The mother was dating a sex offender who wasn't allowed to be near children. She let him be near her daughter.

Why would posess a mother to be that stupid? Is any "love" worth that risk?

How could someone put their child in danger for a short-term boyfriend?
